805 Boyd Street

Project Update: May 29, 2026:

City-led consultation is now open. Community members are invited to provide feedback on this proposal through a short survey at the bottom of the page. The survey closes end of day June 21, 2026.

What is being proposed?

Rezoning and Development Permit applications have been submitted for 805 Boyd Street (Queensborough Landing) to make a zoning change to allow for the installation of an electric vehicle fast charging station.

The proposal is for the installation of 24 Tesla Supercharger stations and supporting supply equipment, which would occupy 29 parking stalls and two landscape islands. The charging stations are proposed to be installed in the Southeast portion of the parking lot.

The application is consistent with the Official Community Plan. The proposed amendment would add an Electric Vehicle Charging Service Station to the site’s existing Large Format Commercial (C-10) zoning.

A Development Permit is included in the application to review for changes to existing landscaping and on-site trees. The proposal does not result in the net loss of on-site trees. Three small trees proposed for removal will require replacement as part of the Development Permit process.

How can I engage?

City-led consultation will include an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposal through a short survey that will be open on this page until June 21, 2026. The City-led consultation is intended to offer the opportunity for public input before Council consideration of this amendment.

To provide feedback on the application, please complete the survey below on this page.

A summary of the feedback received will be presented to Council when they consider this Zoning Bylaw amendment application.
