Feedback through Be Heard New West has now concluded. Council will consider giving first, second and third reading to this rezoning application at its meeting on July 13, 2026. The Council meeting is open to public attendance, either in person or online. Click here to access the report to Council, including an overview of the review process and public feedback received.
What is being proposed?
Rezoning and Development Permit applications have been submitted for 805 Boyd Street (Queensborough Landing) to make a zoning change to allow for the installation of an electric vehicle fast charging station.
The proposal is for the installation of 24 Tesla Supercharger stations and supporting supply equipment, which would occupy 29 parking stalls and two landscape islands. The charging stations are proposed to be installed in the Southeast portion of the parking lot.

The application is consistent with the Official Community Plan. The proposed amendment would add an Electric Vehicle Charging Service Station to the site’s existing Large Format Commercial (C-10) zoning.
A Development Permit is included in the application to review for changes to existing landscaping and on-site trees. The proposal does not result in the net loss of on-site trees. Three small trees proposed for removal will require replacement as part of the Development Permit process.
